Care Services Now Available with Your MTA Booking 

We’re excited to announce a significant enhancement to our services. You can now add care services directly to your Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) booking, Additionally, we can arrange care services for any patient discharge situation, creating a seamless experience for all participants who require support.

With this new integration, you can: 

• Submit accommodation and/or care referrals through a single streamlined process  

• Provide your participants with comprehensive holistic support  

• Simplify tracking and follow-up with unified service coordination  

• Expedite placement with our integrated process 

 

How It Works 

Adding care to your MTA booking is simple: 

1. Select your desired accommodation as usual 
2. Choose to include onsite supports  
3. Submit your request

• Provide onsite personal care – including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing & hygiene, dressing and mobility 

• Complex health & medical care – including nursing services, wound care and medication management 

• Support transport and appointments – accompanying clients to hospital visits, community activities and allied health sessions 

• Coordinate additional services – such as meal preparation, equipment delivery, and allied health visits to the accommodation 

Emotional & Social Support 

• Offer companionship and reassurance, especially for those travelling away from home or dealing with complex situations 

• Promote independence and choice, empowering individuals to feel safe and in control throughout their journey 

Ongoing Care 

• Continuity of care – MediStays care teams can continue to a permanent living situation in disability housing 

• Assist with ongoing visits, ensuring people attending regular appointments have access to a consistent care team for their visits 

 

Hospital Discharge Support 

• Specialised assistance for participants and patients transitioning from hospital to home 

• Coordination with hospital discharge planners to ensure seamless care continuity 

• Help finding appropriate care services for anyone being discharged from hospital, whether using MTA or not 

• MediStays can now organise care for all participants and patients requiring discharge support, regardless of their accommodation needs
