Short Term Accommodation for participants of the NDIS
Current living arrangements could be in shared SDA, or your family home. A stay away from home can give you some well-deserved ‘me-time’, recharge your batteries, and inspire new goals.
The added benefit can be the opportunity for informal supports to recharge their batteries too. You can book STA with your own, trusted support workers, giving your informal supports a rest at home. A respite break for everyone helps sustain your permanent living situation.
For some participants of the NDIS, expanding your independence is a very important goal. With the right plan and supports in place, progress will be made.
Growth can look like opportunities for new creative experiences or learning to navigate public transport independently. The possibilities are endless. At MediStays, we support you to build capacity and achieve your goals.
When family and friends are informal supports, it can sometimes be challenging to spend quality time together.
Our STA packages allow flexibility for both formal and informal supports. Paid supports can be arranged in a way that allows loved ones to rest and spend enjoyable time together during their stay.
Around 50% of plans include the Community Inclusion Initiative to “help inform the provision of community participation support under the NDIS”.
It can cover registration fees and equipment, and a carer to support someone to get ready for their training or game, provide transport to and from the game, and be present during training and games.
Our dedicated Care Navigators will guide you through the entire booking process.
We offer a variety of exciting locations, features and home comforts to make your STA stay restful and enjoyable.
We learn what you want from your stay. This might be somewhere nice and close to home for your first stay away, or further afield to experience new things.
We will always match you with the right accessibility features, plus extra facilities including pet-friendly rooms for therapy pets and other features.
We want to take as much stress away from you during your stay, so meals can be included where desired. This could include a continental breakfast, through to a full meal package.
Our accommodation supports a diverse range of accessibility requirements.
